After a nine year run, Columbia Gas has ended its residential high efficient gas furnace rebate program. Hetter Heating & Cooling has been a proud partner since day one. In 2022 alone Hetter customers qualified for over $42,000 in cash rebates by installing a 96% gas furnace. Since the program's inception in 2014, Hetter has qualified customers for over $300,000 in Columbia Gas rebates. On a similar note, ACCA (Air Conditioning Contractors of America) has notified the DOE that it opposes an initiative to revise energy efficiency standards for residential natural gas furnaces. They say this does not address the root of the energy problem, according to a recent article in ACCA Now. ACCA instead recommends a more impactful approach focusing on properly sizing equipment, correct duct design and quality installations based on ACCA's Manual J.
