Looking for your best option to heat and cool that sun room?

Hetter Heating & Cooling has partnered with Fujitsu to offer homeowners their most comfortable option for that sun room that just doesn’t seem to get used all that much when the weather outside gets extreme. The Fujitsu mini-split heat pump system is ductless, it is quiet, it is very inexpensive to operate and – best of all – it provides your family with year-round comfort in a room you certainly would like to spend more time in.

What is a mini split heat pump system?
Mini-split systems are electric powered. They feature an indoor air handler that mounts on an exterior wall which is connected to an outdoor heat pump (see pictures below). The air handler circulates the air through out your sunroom of which you control by a wireless remote. Fujitsu systems can have as many as four indoor air handlers (covering four zones or areas) connected to one outdoor unit. Since each of the zones will have its own thermostat, you only heat or cool the areas you want, and not the areas that are unoccupied. For more information, go to Fujitsugeneral.com.

Inverter Technology
Inverter Technology is like cruise control for your heating and cooling system. Compressors only run as fast as they need to handle the cooling and heating demand. They can handle greater extremes in temperature, are smoother and more stable in operation and reach the desired temperature more quickly than conventional air conditioners.

Energy Star
With ratings as high as 26 SEER, Fujitsu offers the most energy efficient heat pump in North America. Ten systems are ENERGY STAR qualified, meaning they meet specific criteria set forth by the U.S. government. For more information, go to EnergyStar.gov.

"Ruth stated the men who did the job were very nice. The unit looks really good in the room and it works really well so far. We are happy with the unit and the work."

Federal Tax Credit
Homeowners also can claim 30% of the cost (up to $1500 limit) for installation of qualifying Fujitsu mini-split heat pumps through December 31, 2010. The federal tax credit applies to equipment and labor costs. For mini-split heat pumps to qualify for this credit, they must meet specific criteria. The long and short of it is, if your space (sun room) calls for a small outdoor unit (9,000 to 15,000 btu) and only one indoor air handler, chances are it will qualify.
